We’re delighted to welcome Dave to the Begin Driving team as we continue to grow and bring even more high-quality driving instruction to the Eastbourne area.
Dave joined us in January 2026 after successfully completing the Begin Driving Instructor Training Programme, and he’s already proving to be a fantastic addition to the team. With over 24 years of experience in the emergency services and more than 20 years of advanced driving experience using the Roadcraft system, Dave brings a calm, confident, and professional approach to every lesson.
Teaching manual driving, Dave understands that learning to drive can feel daunting. Thanks to his background in high-pressure environments, he has a natural ability to put learners at ease, helping them feel relaxed, confident, and in control behind the wheel. He takes time to understand each student’s goals and learning style, tailoring lessons to ensure steady progress and an enjoyable learning experience.
Dave teaches in a Ford EcoSport, providing learners with a modern, comfortable, and practical manual car that’s ideal for building confidence on Eastbourne’s roads and beyond.
When he’s not teaching, Dave enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing snooker, and watching football.
Dave’s arrival strengthens the Begin Driving team as we continue expanding across Eastbourne, ensuring more learners have access to patient, professional, and high-quality driving instruction. We’re excited to support Dave as he grows his career with Begin Driving and helps even more pupils achieve their driving goals.
